It's good for sure, but not quite good enough for the really high values. I value it ~ 3hr's

cheers|||I'm not familiar with the Europe economy, but on US EAST there's no way you get 2 hrs for a 386. That's not that far above average (370) and Grief costs 1 hr to make. I would say 1.5 hrs is probably a more reasonable expectation, the price doesn't really go up until you get to 395+ dmg. Maybe Europe is noticeably different though so don't take my word as law.|||I've bought 2 PB griefs on this forum for ~80 ists each. Thats about ~4.5 hrs each.

They were 39/398 and 37/400.

So 3 hrs sounds a little high to me.. 2,5 maybe..

Peace|||Exactly, Price skyrockets for items when you get to perfection/near perfection. As mentioned the IAS roll isn't a factor at all (except for the cool factor of having a 40/400). I can definitely understand paying 4-5 hrs for a near perfect Grief, but when you lose even 10 damage the price just falls off drastically. The 390 can probably fetch at least 2, maybe a little more if you find a rich buyer. Any lower and getting 2hrs becomes very difficult|||Quote:

For a smiting paladin not relying on fanaticism as aura, the ias even on a PB can be an issue. You will need 65 ias to reach a 6fpa attack, which ofc will be easier to reach with 40ias or at least 35+ depending on setup.|||Quote:

I suppose I should have said it wasn't a big factor, since I can't really think of many situations where a smiter would not use Fana, and those rare situations are so few and far between that it has a nearly negligible effect on the price.|||A grief needs 390+ to go over the Hr price. 390 is there, but not by much.

High IAS is needed to reach very high prices. That for two reasons, one is as Thomas said, IAS might matter sometime, and the second is people are either dumb/or after perfection, and they wont consider buying a low IAS one.

Archone I believe you got a very good deal on both those occasions.

I sold a 397/33 one for 4 HRs after a long while of looking for a buyer.

I value 390/31 at a HR or 1.5 HRs. And probably asking for more will greatly limit the buyers.

Well you're talking about pure 1-pt smiters (fanatic zealots), which is ofc the dominant type. There are several both hybrid and pure builds, where even a single point in fanaticism can be tricky to achieve without hurting the overall performance (ie. all skillpoints required). And even on a 1-pt. smiter, some choose to use conviction vs. Mephy until the LT on Dracul's trigger (poor gear setup - early ladder - hardcore).

I'm not saying that speed is critical, just that people looking for 40ias/high dmg Griefs might not be idiots.

Since these are slightly high reqs and only +2 sin instead of the +3 traps that lowers the value some. Unsocketed the value is also somewhat lower. You have 2 choices, sell them as is or gamble and socket them yourself. If you get 2 os from lazark you'll substantially increase the value. If you get 1 os, you'll hurt the value. Anyway, nice find

Need some help evaluating this rare pally shield

This is escl, but any input here is welcome. I realize this will be something hard to price, but I just want to know if it "hit" or not.

48 @res (this obviously got an @res mod +pally auto @res mod)

DMG reduced by 4 (too bad this didnt get a higher roll!)

Okay so here is my take. This can be upgraded to a ST for capped increasing blocking and even higher def. With 2 os and UM runes this would be at 92@res. Kind of a low sanctuary, but with better block. However, I think where it might really shine is in stacking res for a single resist. Where 2 pgems would give it 128 res to that single resist. Would be nice for a PvP switch for some classes. I was also thinking about the possibility of use for this for an FoH'er. Where it would be socketed with 2x 5/5 lite die facets. Would that give you better damage than the +2 combat/+2 all pskills on a hoz? Lastly I was thinking with 2 sol runes, this would be pretty nice for an invincy build pally--Taking it to 18 iPDR, again too bad that iPDR wasnt higher.

I realize that a jewelers "pally shield X" of deflecting would still be superior to this, but who has those laying around?



I think what its missing to put it into that "extremely" valuable category is the +2 pally skills (I id all rare pally shields and find the +2 skills all the time, never with any useful mods tho!)

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Should I auction this? Keep it for selfuse? If it is something to auction what should I expect? A little? A lot?

Thanks|||You can't upgrade rare items as far as I know, only uniques. Therefore this can't be upped to a ST and therefore its really not worth anything special imo. Keep it for self use I suppose, but for dueling I really don't think it measures up||| Rares can be upped.

Although I don't know if this shield is useful... wait for someone else to call the verdict.|||Oh my bad I'm an idiot, I've been away from the game for a little while and forgot about the formula. Well in that case wait for someone else's verdict, since I am not very experienced with dueling.|||This shield seems standard to me somehow.

Peace|||What the shield has going for it: 2 sockets, good blocking, and decent resistance.

Whats not: Low enhanced def, no + to skills.

The damage reduction by numbers is negible on rares (max would be 7), better to pick the blues where on shields you can get 15 (jewelers st of amicae with 4 sols anyone) and is for pvm use only

Single res shields is better achieved with a 4x all res 4 socket ST (or SR if in dire need) acheving 20x single res. (or in combination with runes like Lo, Vex or Ohm (or sur, but better with antidotes) also raising the max res)

Def is also low, it needs atleast 15x% to be of any significance. (with eth and self repair would be even better).

Its not a good shield IMO, self use only.

My Nephew have a cool summoning necro and he cleans out all mobs almost as quick as my lvl 43 chainlightning sorc with infinity on hireling.

Mostly it's because summoning necros (the most popular kind) aren't incredibly reliant on +skills for damage. It's still worth a good bit because of the attributes and res, but not nearly as much as a half decent sorc or pally torch.|||It's all a question about supply and demand. Just enter any baalrun-game you like. How many hammerdins and lightsorcs do you see in average? How many summoning necros do you see?

The answer to this also answer why pala and sorc torches are so much more valuable, even though a good built necro is just as effective (and totally more fun) to play as both a hammerdin and a lightsorc

Yep that's right, although personally I find summoners incredibly boring also, more so than light sorc (but nothing can top the sleeper class that is the hammerdin)

But ya, one part of the nec torch's lower value is because a torch is far from a necessity for a necro, and the other is just the characters lack of popularity. I mean I joined a baalrun yesterday that had 7 sorceresses, and they were all either blizzard or lightning. Talk about mixing it up|||Thanks for the input!

Thx in advance.|||Personally I think it could be around 4-6 ists. Socketing won't increase its value that much because a lazurk quest in normal mode is relatively easy to get. I think the same ed% has more value on a 3 socket armor since those can only be found and never made whereas 4 socket armors can either be found or made using the socket quest. Still a nice find

We watch and listen and pay attention. If something needs to be said we say it.

there is still duping going on. Not much though since botting took over the item farming dupes where needed less and rune drops changed and bots pick up runes and therefore duping those is not needed as much.



There is still a small DNT list on east. It is clearly not as big as it was 2 ladders ago. Everyone should Check it out. Some perfect bases and 40/15 jewels are on it. 3/20/20's should probably be on it since those do get duped. Just have not seen a lot of them or any complaints of poofing on them.

Yep, it sucks for those people that actually have the luck of finding one of these items. Can you imagine how many great items you could get for a high rune if there were no dupes? People would probably be bidding the equivalent of nearly 100 ists for Jah's and Ber

The only items that I think shouldnt be banned are the socketed armors, like the 15% ed Dusk Shroud, since those actually show up on occasion. Agreed. Compare it to the easily obtainable Arreats Face. Arreats has much more defense, 10 less strength but 20 dexterity, some life leech (not relevant in PVP), 30 resist all, an additional 2 to combat skills, 20% AR bonus, and 30 FHR. That's a blowout, Arreats wins by a mile. The only things the circlet has going for it is 10 strength and the potential for 1 more socket, but no way can it even come close to making up for Arreats other bonuses. And Arreats can be easily (as in very easily) gotten for Pul, so I have to say the circlet isnt worth anything of note. Sorry.

yay? nay? self use?|||I would definitely use it. I'm not great with max values for stats and stuff so I'm not sure just how great that is, but it has AR dual leech and some resists. I can't see it being worth a ton since its missing life and the resists are low and to the less important elements, but I would keep it for sure. Get a second opinion though|||As scollin said. Probably not worth enough to sell it instead of using it for your own characters, in PvM.

Also one other item - eth Hone Sundan +170ed - low end but eth. Value?|||I believe the life could be higher, as could the res. Also most people would greatly prefer a 3 to elemental 20 fcr magic circlet, since if that got 2 sockets from Larzuk it would be great. As it stands its a good circlet, and great for self use if you had a druid, but don't expect too much for it as a good magic circlet beats it easily.|||The problem with druid circlets for casting druids is they get destroyed by magic/rare pelts with automods to their skills. Which makes them way, way less desirable and hurts the price for what would otherwise be a very nice item. I think self-use only on that. Had that been something like sorc or pally skills you would have had a much more tradeable item.

Eth hone sundans are always tradeable. Since this one is low I think its probably around a ~Mal, unupped.

Title says it all, 0os. Also 7 MF Scs if anyone knows off hand.|||The dusk might have had some value if it where 3 socket as it is now not too much.

Not to sure about the sc's tho i use a few but i wouldnt give more then ist for them personaly, a whole other thing if they had some nice add tho.

PC 4 Socket War Scepter

I recently found a 4 socket War Scepter with +2 Sanctuary and +1 Fanaticism and was wondering how much it was worth. I read an old post with someone saying that they would pay a Vex rune for it which seems very high. I sold it for 18 Pgems which is about half the price it seems of an Ist. Did I go too low? The post I read was from nearly three years ago and the guy seemed desperate.

Edit: I am on US East Ladder|||If you sold that for 18 pgems you made out pretty good i think. I cant think of any worth of that item, it would be nice for lld if it was 3/3 but with only being 2/1 I don't think it would be very useful.|||Base for rift for an assassin is really all they're used for. Thanks in advance.|||The first one isnt worth much. 3 pally combat is nice but the max damage is just a wasted mod since the main class to use this (hammerdin) has no use for max damage.

The second one... compare it to Arreats. You get a little less strength, 20 less dex, no 20% ar bonus, 30 less fhr, 19 less res all, nearly 300 less defense on average, 2 less to combat skills, and no life steal. The only mod it really has going for it is ED, and I don't think thats nearly enough. Maybe you want another opinion tho|||Thanks. That makes sense.

Just wondering whether this shield was anygood for a low level duel smiter as it has good smite base damage and +1 skill please

At that level you can easily get a 60+% ED 110+AR Shield with 4 sockets which would destroy this shield. That shield isnt even PvM worthy at that level. The only reason the smite damage looks high is that you have HS on as Tim said, so that's probably what mislead you.|||thankyou all for your information. Regarding the archon plate - it all depends on the def roll. It's a big span from lowest 410def to max 524def. A 500+ def normally cost ~ ist, but also 470+def has some tradevalue. (with 3 sockets it's much more worth)

Sounds about right. I would think you're best bet is to try to trade it straight up for a Lo or something (I managed to do this a few weeks ago, although im on USEAST so maybe its different), since a Lo is worth far more. You probably won't be able to get a Jah or Ber for it unless they are REALLY desperate.

If you don't want to do this, or can't find a buyer, then 9 ists seems reasonable.

Are either of these worth a damn? Would Sanctuary's resists stats stack on the royal shield? (Is it even worth spending the Mal?)

Thanks |||Yes Sanctuary's Resists would most definitely stack on the shield. Its a very good spot to use a Mal, some might prefer an elite shield for more defense but if I had that shield I would make it for sure. I would buy it off you but I recently bought a 37 res shield for my sanctuary.

Now for the bigger problem... how on earth do you get sockets in a javelin, let alone 4?|||lmao, nice catch. That should read as Spear, not Javelin. Please excuse my intelligence |||Haha I figured... You don't see many spearzons, and those that you do see would probably want some big ed on their weapons... I can start with some questions;

What are pgems worth? Do all the pgems have the same price?

I would also like to know the prices of runes.

What are the runeword �Spirit� worth.

Thanks in advance.|||Well I play Ladder, but I'll still try to help.

You won't find a price guide really because things are worth whatever someone will pay for them. Just go look at what some people are selling and what they want in return and you'll get a decent sense of it soon enough. If you have a specific item, that's what this forum is for.

As for currency, the most popular ways of judging an item is to rank is based on pgems or based on ists (sometimes hrs for really high items). As for pgems, generally Rubies and Amethysts are worth more, since they are popular for crafting (with Amethysts generally being worth the most). There are also some lower runes (namely Rals) which have a higher weight due to their use in crafting.

As for rune prices... i mean it's hard to tell you. If you are thinking about HR's, the easiest way to get them is to find someone who is crafting and give them a ton of lower runes and Pgems for them. I can't help you with the others since i imagine its quite different on Non Ladder because you can't cube higher runes.

Finally Spirit... since it's a ladder only runeword I imagine it's wort quite a bit (although as I said I don't play NL so I'm not positive). However, if it's a spirit sword its probably not worth much (other than maybe to a low level dueller, and in that case it would have to be a pretty good roll). However Spirit Shields (namely Monarchs or high Res Paladin Shields) should be worth quite a bit, and are probably worth a ton if they have 35 fcr. I can't give you exact prices since i dont play NL but I hope this helped, but if someone corrects me who does play NL you should probably listen to them.|||Few people play on NL, so we didn't have a NL price list for a few years anymore, at least none for Europe.

I don't know much about NL prices, but I do know that if there's something with a stable value, then it's stuff which is used up as quickly as new stuff is produced, like pgems and crafting runes. Pamys are worth a bit more than prubies and maybe pskulls and these two are worth a bit more than the other gems.|||Hi, thanks for your replies.

Plan F: Get together with NL experienced traders such as TrekMaster, DizzyMjewu etc. and make a NL priceguide for Europe yourself. If you make a template based on the Europe ladder list, I'm sure they're more than willing to fill out some of the blanks. Only thing to remember, is that there are a few items on the DNT list for NL. A very basic list of only the very common tradeables would be a nice start and easily expandable by you or other members, as you get more insight

I think in order for this to be worth anything it would have needed more life/res/ and/or 2os. You will probably spend more time trying to find a buyer for this then what its actually worth. I think there's a regional confusion here, or I don't know, but large charm = medium charm as far as I know. You're talking about Grand charms.

Well a Jared's Stone is a 1h weapon (technically an orb and not a staff) and can be used with spirit to give better +stats compared to Occulus. Sadly this orb only has 10fcr and pretty poor supporting affixes. The automod 32life helps a bit, but I doubt it'll make the orb a substantial earner. Blizzard + ES isn't exactly the greatest combo. For a Blizzard sorc to abandon the use of Death's Fathom, she will probably look for a +2/+3/20fcr/2os magic orb.

Both are selfuse IMO as well.

I'd say that the guide (sticky on this forum) is quite accurate for this one : ~6ists.

Just sold a 15C 15L +3Light for a bit more. But it took me one whole week to find a buyer.|||Dual elementalists doesnt use ormus. Period.

The +%dmg must be 15% and of the element the added skill are.

In your case:

15% Light.dmg

+3 Chainlightning

The Regeneration plays some part in the value for some..

This is worth 5-8 ists imo.

Euscnl rare 30str belt

just wondered whether a belt like this was worth anything? i also have a 24%frh 20 str. If not what makes a good rare belt?

• 24fhr required - anything less is likely unsellable without insane other affixes.


• High str - 30 is max for rare belts. Lower str might be sellable if it comes from affixes allowing a low level req., but in most cases the higher str the better.


• High life - 60 is max.

All these 3 are suffixes (affixes are divided into prefixes and suffixes where a magic item has either prefix, suffix or both and rares have up to 6 affixes but no more than 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes), so the only other affixes able to spawn would be prefixes. Sadly there aren't alot of interesting prefixes for belts - possibly some resistances (30 is max to any single res) and mana add (20 is max).

A belt with 24fhr/28+str/50+life is very rare and will hold some value IMO, even without interesting supporting prefixes. But if you gamble a 24fhr/28+str/50+life/with 1 to 3 of mana, cres, fres, lres with highish stats, you have a winner.

If a rare belt has 13-15 str in conjunction with 24fhr and high life while keeping level-req at 34 or below (ie. str comes from Giant suffix) you have a decent MLD belt and with supporting affixes these could be valuable.

Similarly if a belt has 8-9 str in conjunction with 24fhr and high life while keeping level-req at 22 or below (str comes from Ox suffix and the level-req is from the +Life affix) you could have a very valuable LLD belt, depending on other affixes.



#EDIT: Ofc forgot to mention: both of your belts are selfuse only IMO.

#EDIT: Correction - 30mana is not available on rare belts. Max is 20 mana. I just used Arreat Summit as a quick reference, but apparently the affixes displayed there aren't entirely correct for 1.13 LoD.|||Thankyou very much mr.Johnsen. Thank you!|||Not really, I would give it to Charsi. I would much rather just have a 6 socketed phase blade with some shael runes and max damage jewels, all of which aren't expensive at all. Your weapon spot isn't where you want to try to make up attack rating. Maybe if it had a suffix (this is a fool's Phase blade right?) like Fool's Phase Blade of Quickness you could use it on certain builds, but as it stands I don't think it does much|||Yes,

3) 32ar 20life lvl49 (is it same as 2, 1 ar is not a great diffrence if so no need to price it )

think 35 is max ar for a sc but am sure the fact its missing max is not good

cheers|||Ya I would say #2-3 would be at least 5 ists, maybe a tad more. I personally wouldn't pay 10 for them but I'm not rich. Anywhere between 5 and 10 seems reasonable.

I still think I wouldn't pay more than Mal for the first one, although some people are rolling in Ists and might give you one.

Thanks in advance!|||i sold a 6os pb recently for an ist if that helps|||Def on dusk? Might be worth an ist or 2 if high defense.|||I've never understood why people pay for 6os pb... Phase blades are common enough and a trip to Larzuk gets you 6 sockets. No way is a socket quest worth an ist.

As for the other items... Diadem and Maul are useless.

5 socket flails generally go for Pul-Um, but Knouts are slightly less valuable due to higher dex (sorceress' dont want them). I'd say Pul, Um if you're lucky.

The Dusk Shroud, if its 440+ defense maybe you can get an um for it. If its 460+ you can probably get Mal. It has to be superior with extra defense to be worth an ist to most. 3 socket Dusk Shrouds are much more valuable.

Found a 15 ed 11 dura war spike, non ethereal and no sockets. Do people use these for last wish perhaps or shall charsi add it to her huge collection of almost-usefull-15ed-weapons? Oh yeah, if this one has any value, how much would it be?|||nvm..

Peace|||War spike is a fast weapon with low dam in comparison to berserker axe.

But I think people already reach the fastest frame rate with slower weapon such as berserler axe (so doing more dam) ... so no use of a war spike.

BTW i never saw anyome asking for one.|||I've seen people look for 5 socket ones before due to their speed, (not every pala uses fanatasim ), but not usually looked for.

Also 6 sockets lets it be used for LW, Sileince, and Breath. Rather than Grief and Doom. You might be able to find a buyer but you'd be looking at a price in a few ists.|||Ok thanks for the info, I'm not going to charsi it straight away then.|||Since its not eth, that rules out BOTDs. On occasion people do put runewords in eth ones. Really that leaves LW or silence. For a LW, most people are using it for the CB/LT proc. Weapon damage itself isn't that important--If it is, they want a zerker. A PB beats it hands down on speed (a pb is a -30 weapon, vs the WS at -10) so I cant see anyone wanting to spend ladder runes to make a LW in a WS. That leaves silence, which I would think would be a temp item for someone till they can afford a LW or Grief.

Its a nice find, just not a lot of uses for it. If you have mule room I would hang on to it--If not I'd get rid of it. I normally don't keep warspikes or ettin axes anymore unless they are eth--There just isnt a market for them.

Seconded. The shield is vendor food for sure.

For merc bows you want to look for hydra or greatbows/razor bows with the ed/ar. On occasion people will use shadows as well. Unless this got a perfect superior roll 15ed/3ar I cant see anyone wanting to put the runes in a crusader.|||Thanks for the input, it was a bit as I suspected.

This late in ladder there are a plethora of 10 fcr/@res/str rings around. The price on them isn't that high depending on stats. The magic ones are extremely common at this point--Which really diminishes the value.|||Ok thanks for the help guys, self use i suppose, maybe I'll find someone looking for one who will pay.

Peace|||yeah couldn't think of one to so i was hoping it would be valueble with something else thx again|||The problem with staves is that you have to overcome the benefits of a regular orb (use occy as the standard) with a Spirit Shield. So you are looking at overcoming + 5 skills, 55% Cold Light Poison Res, 20 Fire Res, 55-65 FCR, 42 Vitality, 20 Energy, around 100 mana on top of that, 55 FHR, 50 MF and a bunch of defense. I don't really think there's a staff roll in the game that can stand up to that in terms of all around awesomeness, people just use a staff sometimes to be different, but I don't see how you could really trade it|||For lower levels...|||The only staffs you really want to keep for resale value are prebuff staffs. For prebuff staffs you looking for two kinds--ES and enchant. ES you want white staffs with 4os and +3 ES (energy shield) along with other useful mods which can raise the value, like the cold armors.

For enchant prebuff gear, you are looking for magical orbs with +3 fire skills/+3 enchant and other useful mods like +fire mastery. Like scrolling points out, there aren't other white/r/w or magical staffs/orbs that can really top easily available unq orbs (occy) + a spirit shield.

People sometimes look for magical orbs that will boost a main attack skill like blizzard/FO/FB or Light on occasion so keep an eye out for those as well-But again its hard to beat either fathom or a good roll eschuta's even with those. Those almost always have to have +20 fcr on them as well to be sellable. So it would look something like +2 sorc/+3 blizzard/+20 fcr and ideally you want it to get 2os from the socket quest. Keep in mind, these are magic orbs--Not staffs here, would would be beat by the trusty unq orb/spirit combo

The pally helm is self-use. It lacks str/life. Even if it were going to a melee pally compare it to a shako (dirt cheap), which would you use? If you can't say I would take my helm over the shako 100% of the time--Its not tradable.|||Quote:

Was this a reply to me? If it was, then even then I would take a spirit sword + lidless over it any day. The main selling point of this staff is the 6 sockets to put 6 facets in, but at low levels you can't even use those.

All i can tell you is that a friend of mine got a 3max/20ar/3frw sc and after 2-3 days of bargaining he finally got 2 hrs and 2 ist for it. Although most people were offering 1 hr. It was only a few days ago.

So i'd have trouble pricing it but if you consider the price above and the fact that yours lacks "1 max" to be perf, you may get an idea of its price.

Should wait for someone with more knowledge on Sc's though.

The GC is nice. Not quite as good as having 3x 5 FHR/@res sc's, but nice nonetheless. I'm gonna throw Vex out there, maybe a little more or less depending on the buyer and how patient you are.|||Tyvm Sporty, I've been waiting a while for those Price Checks. Found a couple of rather plain coronets and I was wondering what they were worth. One is +3 to elemental skills and the other is +3 to summoning skills (necro) with 5 MDR. Also, I'm curious if its worth taking the gamble to add 2 sockets to either of them. Thanks in advance!|||Nothing. Definitely don't waste socket quests on them. For a circlet to have any value it has to be either rare with good mods (skills life res strength fcr frw etc) or be magical with +3 to a tree and a great second mod with 2 sockets. Good examples are +3 pally combat 20 fcr 2 soc or +3 Passive and Magic 30% FRW 2 soc. Other good secondary mods include res all or Damage reduction. Yours are too plain to bother trading or socketing, sorry.

[USWScL] Lvl 50 Rare Belt

24%FHR, 73%ed, 18Str, 23 Life, Lightning Resist 17%, Fire Resist 12% Belt (Lvl 50 Req)

Any idea on this belt? Has the essential 24%FHR that without would make it average...Life is abit low, but has the good resist types...Seems to be 1 lvl too high for MLD...Or do people accept lvl 50s?

Hi - I couldn't find this anywhere else in the trade guides, but what are the trade values (in runes preferably) of the different damage ranges of poison-damage small charms?

I've seen some people trading 300pdscs and others trading 100pdscs... but I recently found a 209 pdsc and have no idea what a fair price to ask would be.

28% res|||Pally circlet is self use/charsi food. It hit some of the right mods but missed FCR or FRW which it really needs to have. And since it is a combat tab, as opposed to all pally skill you really want it to have the +3.

The Verdungo's is nice, you got perfect vita and perfect DR roll. I would think to the right buyer you could easily get an ohm+ for this.

0os or 4os superior DS with 1-6%edef ~Mal 7-13% edef I think ~ist. 14%~Gul, 15% ~Vex
