I know the IAS isn't great, but the damage is high, and I heard theres a class where IAS doesn't matter. Anyway an honest price check would be nice, thanks!|||You are right that some build doesn't need the highest ias. Actually the +390 dmg is the problem here. It's good for sure, but not quite good enough for the really high values. I value it ~ 3hr's

cheers|||I'm not familiar with the Europe economy, but on US EAST there's no way you get 2 hrs for a 386. That's not that far above average (370) and Grief costs 1 hr to make. I would say 1.5 hrs is probably a more reasonable expectation, the price doesn't really go up until you get to 395+ dmg. Maybe Europe is noticeably different though so don't take my word as law.|||I've bought 2 PB griefs on this forum for ~80 ists each. Thats about ~4.5 hrs each.

They were 39/398 and 37/400.

So 3 hrs sounds a little high to me.. 2,5 maybe..

Peace|||Exactly, Price skyrockets for items when you get to perfection/near perfection. As mentioned the IAS roll isn't a factor at all (except for the cool factor of having a 40/400). I can definitely understand paying 4-5 hrs for a near perfect Grief, but when you lose even 10 damage the price just falls off drastically. The 390 can probably fetch at least 2, maybe a little more if you find a rich buyer. Any lower and getting 2hrs becomes very difficult|||Quote:

For a smiting paladin not relying on fanaticism as aura, the ias even on a PB can be an issue. You will need 65 ias to reach a 6fpa attack, which ofc will be easier to reach with 40ias or at least 35+ depending on setup.|||Quote:

I suppose I should have said it wasn't a big factor, since I can't really think of many situations where a smiter would not use Fana, and those rare situations are so few and far between that it has a nearly negligible effect on the price.|||A grief needs 390+ to go over the Hr price. 390 is there, but not by much.

High IAS is needed to reach very high prices. That for two reasons, one is as Thomas said, IAS might matter sometime, and the second is people are either dumb/or after perfection, and they wont consider buying a low IAS one.

Archone I believe you got a very good deal on both those occasions.

I sold a 397/33 one for 4 HRs after a long while of looking for a buyer.

I value 390/31 at a HR or 1.5 HRs. And probably asking for more will greatly limit the buyers.

Well you're talking about pure 1-pt smiters (fanatic zealots), which is ofc the dominant type. There are several both hybrid and pure builds, where even a single point in fanaticism can be tricky to achieve without hurting the overall performance (ie. all skillpoints required). And even on a 1-pt. smiter, some choose to use conviction vs. Mephy until the LT on Dracul's trigger (poor gear setup - early ladder - hardcore).

I'm not saying that speed is critical, just that people looking for 40ias/high dmg Griefs might not be idiots.

Since these are slightly high reqs and only +2 sin instead of the +3 traps that lowers the value some. Unsocketed the value is also somewhat lower. You have 2 choices, sell them as is or gamble and socket them yourself. If you get 2 os from lazark you'll substantially increase the value. If you get 1 os, you'll hurt the value. Anyway, nice find
